Formula 1 Turkish Grand Prix 2021

For the second consecutive year, Formula 1 is returning to Intercity Istanbul Park – this time replacing Canada on the 2021 Formula 1 calendar.

Following on from the thrilling Turkish Grand Prix in 2020, Formula 1 is once again returning to Intercity Istanbul Park, on the weekend originally scheduled to host the Singapore Grand Prix.

Following the news that the Marina Bay race cannot go ahead as planned on October 3rd, F1 will instead be racing around Intercity Istanbul Park – the circuit where Lewis Hamilton clinched his seventh World Championship title last year.

Considered by many to be designer Hermann Tilke’s finest creation, the whole circuit is designed to test drivers to their limits. That includes the triple-apex Turn 8, ‘Diabolica’, one of the greatest corners on the F1 calendar. The last Grand Prix here saw the most overtaking maneuvers in a dry race since 1983. Expect thrilling, relentless racing.

A car-ride from the circuit and you are in the center of one of the great cities of the world. No other city straddles two continents; nowhere else has been the capital of two empires. Whether it’s history, shopping or fine cuisine you’re after – or maybe all three Istanbul has it all.
