Owned by a certain energy drink manufacturer, the Red Bull Ring is among the very best circuits on the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. With the Styrian mountains a stunning backdrop, the 4.3KM circuit is a firm favourite for fans and drivers alike.
The original circuit known as the Österreichring was a daunting challenge and by 1987, speeds in qualifying had reached an average of 255KM/H and subsequently did not host another Grand Prix until it had been revamped to modern safety standards by the communications company A1 for the 1997 season. Red Bull purchased the circuit and constructed new pits and hospitality areas and since 2014 the shorter circuit has hoisted the Austrian Grand Prix.
