Formula 1 DHL Turkish Grand Prix 2020
After a nine year hiatus, Turkey’s Istanbul Park will host a Grand Prix for the first time as part of the revised 2020 F1 calendar.
The Turkish Grand Prix will be run on November 15, just before a back-to-back double header in Bahrain, with the Bahrain Grand Prix on November 29 followed by the Sakhir Grand Prix on December 6.
Built in 2005, Istanbul Park held its inaugural race the same year. The last grand prix was held at the track in 2011, with Formula One removing the Turkish GP due to financial disagreements shortly after. Frequently ranking near the top of “the most missed former-F1 tracks”, Instanbul Park, with its undulating layout previously proved popular with drivers and fans – particularly the unique and challenging fast quadruple-apex Turn Eight.
