FORMULA 1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2024

Very much the home of the British Grand Prix, Silverstone has been a regular fixture on the FIA Formula 1 World Championship since 1950. 2023 provided quite the spectacle for the British fans after McLaren’s Lando Norris enjoyed a front-row start for the 52-lap race, and the full 5.891km circuit erupting as Norris briefly took the race lead from world champion Max Verstappen at the start.

Adapted from the World War II airfield, the circuit has evolved with times and the most recent iteration dates back to 2011 where The Silverstone Wing opened creating a new race start on the run towards Abbey. Further building works include the newly opened Hilton Garden Inn located opposite the team pits and Paddock Club area, plus the ongoing construction of “Escapade”, a 14-acre estate of trackside residences overlooking the revered Copse, Maggotts and Becketts corners.

The circuit itself retains its fast and flowing nature with some of the finest corner sequences – such as Maggotts, Becketts and Chapel – anywhere on the race calendar and enjoys various hospitality options.
