The Island nation of Bahrain has hosted the FIA Formula 1 World Championship since 2004 and while the Sakhir International Circuit has numerous configurations, the traditional 5.4KM Grand Prix Circuit layout is to be used once again in 2023 – date TBC
A short drive from Manama, the circuit is unique in its desert location and the challenges that bring to the teams and drivers in terms of maximising the grip from the asphalt. The layout is dominated by relatively long straights, providing plenty of opportunities for racing and passing, especially into turns four and 11.
