Formula 1 Paddock Club™: Keeping Our Guests Safe
BAM would like to assure you that the Paddock Club’s top priority has always been, and remains, the wellbeing and safety of guests and the teams they work with. Although the Paddock Club guest journey will now look and feel slightly different with enhanced hygiene and safety measures, we will do our best to provide you with a world class experience.
CORE PRINCIPLES
Social Distancing – Increased space and lower capacities
Enhances Hygiene « Increased frequency in all areas
Personal Protection « Face masks and hand sanitiser provided
Track & Trace – Ready to provide to any authority
BEFORE
Parking Pass Ratio
The new ratio for parking passes will now be 1 per every 2 tickets purchased. This is to give more guests the opportunity to arrive by car and avoid taking public transportation where possible.
Shuttles
We will organise additional or larger Paddock Club shuttles so we can ensure social distancing.
Track & Trace
We will be operating a Track and Trace system at our Paddock Club events so that we can provide information to the relevant local authorities if necessary. A Track & Trace form will be sent out together with the Terms & Conditions when a booking has been placed and will also be available for download on the Paddock Club Portal. The Form will also be included when tickets are collected. If there is more than one person, then you can record the details of the ‘lead member’ of the group and the number of people in the group. All provided information is collected solely for this purpose and will be deleted 3 weeks after the event or as soon as any local regulations allow. No access to the Paddock Club will be permitted without providing these details.
Temperature Checks
Temperature checks will be conducted either on arrival and before entering the circuit or at the Paddock Club main entrance. We will have an isolation procedure in place for any guests or member of staff who develop COVID-19 symptoms during the day.
Designated Waiting Zones
We will have designated waiting zones with refreshments in front of the Paddock Club main entrance. This is to avoid too many people queuing at the entrance and to allow social distancing when any of the above mentioned checks need to be conducted or at busy periods.
DURING
Staff Testing
All Paddock Club and F1 Hospitality staff will be COVID-19 tested before the event and continuously during each event.
Hospitality & Catering
In order to ensure the maximum safety and security of our guests, we will not be operating self service buffets or self service food stations. Our culinary experiences will continue to offer local and internationally inspired cuisine with various service options depending upon the Paddock Club layouts such as served food stations or table, tray or trolley service.
Social Distancing
We will be conducting social distancing in compliance with all local regulations. We are doubling the space allocated per guest and consequently capacity in the Paddock Club will be half of the numbers we would normally plan for. There will be increased space at and between each table of not less than 1 metre.
Density Easing Measures
We will be introducing one-way flows and separate entry/exit arrangements by using signage and crowd management tools such as barriers and floor markings.
Hygiene Measures
Face masks compliant with EN14683:2019+AC:2019 will be provided to all guests upon arrival. Face Masks will be mandatory for staff at all times. Guest will be asked to wear their masks in all public areas, on shuttles and Truck tours and when leaving their dining table. Hand Sanitiser Dispensers will also be placed at the entrance and throughout the Paddock Club.
Cleaning Measures
We will apply the highest hygiene standards with continuous disinfection of all areas, surfaces and bathrooms. There will also be a strategically coordinated deep cleaning which will be carried out pre- and post-event days. Our service staff will wear protective gear and gloves at all times.
Paddock Club Layout
To implement social distancing, the square metres per person will be increased. The allocated space per person in open and private suites will also be increased to accommodate social distancing. The size of the tables allocated to your guests will depend on the size of the group. We will increase the dining space per person and always adhere to local social distancing regulations. Common areas such as the Club Lounge will be operated with appropriate social distancing measures and always in line with local regulations.
Experiences
The Paddock Club have been working on exciting new experiences for your guests’ weekend that go hand in hand with the COVID-19 measures to ensure everyone’s safety:
Truck Tour: We will be implementing social distancing on the truck tours but we are increasing the slots available to deal with this.
Grid Photo Experience NEW! We will get guests on the grid for a new and unique opportunity to take a picture with the F1 Championship trophies.
Photo Safari Tour NEW! Guests will have the opportunity to visit very special locations around the circuit and close to the track for unique photo opportunities.Viewing opportunities and very simple but first class hospitality will be provided at each station (in a safari manner!).
Virtual Experiences NEW! Interactive live interviews with F1 Drivers and live Paddock tours via Zoom.
Tours to photo safari locations and Truck Tours will be managed by our Expert Hosts with smaller groups. The capacity of the Trucks used for the Truck Tours has been reduced to ensure appropriate social distancing and all hand railings will be cleaned after each use.
The Formula 1 Paddock
The Formula 1 Paddock which houses the F1 Teams will be entirely separated from the Paddock Club. There will be strictly no crossover of staff between the Formula 1 Paddock and the Paddock Club.
COVID-19 MEASURES FAQ
The Paddock Club will be operating in compliance with all local COVID-19 regulations. These will vary from country to country and we will provide regular updates as we get closer to the event.
Q: Will there be any health check procedures when arriving at the circuit?
A: We will comply with all local regulations and if required will conduct any temperature checks or any pre-testing before your guests can enter the event.
Q: Are we required to provide you with the names and contact details of our guests?
A: We may be required by law to collect some personal details of your clients for COVID-19 tracking purposes. We will keep you updated if this is the case. Any data collected will only be used for the purpose of complying with the law and COVID-tracking
Q: How will the hospitality and catering now look in the Paddock Club?
A: In order to ensure the maximum safety and security of our guests, we will not be operating a culinary system in which guests serve themselves from an open buffet. We will be creating culinary experiences based around local themes which will be delivered in alternative ways such as a trolley and table service. Don’t be disappointed, we are aiming to provide your guests with the usual array of culinary experience.
Q: How will you implement social distancing?
A: We will be conducting social distancing in accordance to all local regulations. Instead of having tables of 10, we will now provide tables of 2, 4 and 6 with increased space between each table.
Q: What enhanced cleaning measures will be in place?
A: We will apply the highest hygiene standards with continuous disinfection of all areas, surfaces and bathrooms. There will also be a strategically coordinated deep cleaning in place which will be carried out pre- and post-event days. Our staff will wear protective gear and gloves at all times.
Q: What enhanced hygiene measures will be in place for guests and staff?
A: Face Masks will be mandatory for staff at all times and for guests when leaving their allocated table. They will be provided together with hand sanitisers at the Paddock Club main entrance. Hand Sanitiser Dispensers will also be placed throughout the Paddock Club and ready for you to use. If local regulations regarding the use of face masks is different, then we will of course comply with these as well.
Q: What are the changes to the Paddock Club layout?
A: Because of social distancing, the sqm per person will be increased. We will also reduce the minimum numbers required for fully private and open suites: Private Suite: 50
Open Suites: 20 (e.g. 5 tables of 4) We will be having smaller tables throughout the Paddock Club ie. tables of 2, 4 and 6 instead of tables of 10 with increased space between each table. Common areas such as the Club Lounge will be evaluated in line with local regulations.
Q: Will the Paddock still be open for tours?
A: To ensure everyone’s safety, the Paddock will be a completely separate “bubble” and as such will not be accessible for anyone who is present in the Paddock Club and vice versa. We are planning to introduce virtual tours throughout the weekend which will be shown on the giant screens.
Q: Will there still be a Paddock Club Pit Lane Walk?
A: To ensure everyone’s safety, the Pit Lane Walk is not something we can currently make available for Paddock Club guests. We are working however on alternative ways to make this available.
Q: How will the entertainment differ?
A: We are aiming to have some of the usual entertainment in the Paddock Club but with enhanced cleaning and security measures ie. trophies and simulators are being wiped down after each use.
